Day-by-Day Schedule
Welcome arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport. Transfer to Arusha for dinner and a detailed wildlife briefing. Your guide will share the latest cheetah tracking data — positions of known coalitions and where the big cats have been seen most recently.
Enter Tarangire at dawn for full-day immersion. Target lion prides cooling themselves under acacia stands, leopard resting in tamarind trees, and cheetah mothers with cubs on the open floodplains. Overnight at Oliver's Camp — one of the best-positioned camps in the park.
Early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. Track the black rhino, observe lion courtship rituals, and watch the largest tusker elephants in East Africa. The enclosed caldera creates a natural hunting theatre with cheetahs visible on the short-grass floor.
Drive into the southern Serengeti's Ndutu sector — legendary cheetah country. The vast open short-grass savannas allow you to see for kilometres. Afternoon game drive immediately on arrival. This area hosts the highest density of cheetah in Africa, with multiple coalitions active simultaneously.
Dedicated full day on the Ndutu plains. From sunrise, your guide uses radio networks and tracking experience to locate cheetah coalitions. When found, position the vehicle downwind and silent for intimate photography. In calving season (Jan–Mar), witness the entire predator–prey cycle unfold around you.
Drive north to the Seronera Valley — Africa's best year-round big cat habitat. Focus on leopard in the fig and sausage trees along the Seronera River. Lions patrol the Simba and Moru Kopjes. Spend the entire afternoon with whichever big cat your guide deems most active.
Drive to the Gol Kopjes — famous granite islands rising from the plains where male cheetah coalitions hold territory. These coalitions are among the most photographed in Africa. Spend the morning tracking, photographing hunts, and watching territorial scrape-marking behaviour.
One last golden-hour drive before your bush breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha and onward international connection. Your photographs, and the memory of a cheetah at full sprint, will stay with you for life.
